One of the wolves sniffed Lilja before giving a quiet growl and stepping back. The girl extended her hand out to Lilja.
"Hey, Ben. Help me cook the meat," the girl in the back said, uncovering some recently killed prey. A wolf padded over and tried to take some. "Hey-" the girl said as she tried to pull the food away from the wolf's jaws. "I spent all my time hunting and waiting until I was hungry, you can't-" The wolf got the upper hand and gulped it down. Some of the other wolves took the rest. "Ugh." She looked at the wolves with resent. "Freeloaders."
Who probably was Ben chuckled before the girl gave him a glare and took some apples from her bag. Ben took an apple from a separate one and looked at Lilja still suspiciously, but a bit less since he seemed to have been somewhat eased.
(In a world where the most advanced firearm is a revolver but there's projectors...Rose is confused about the level of advancement for everything else...Maybe we could just say they wanted to rough it out if their original reasons don't make sense.)

Ben started chatting with the girl whose meat was taken away by the wolves, though he mostly teased and provoked her. That girl's name was Amani. The girl who had extended her hand to Lilja still continued to do so.

The girl's hand was cold and became slippery with water. Lilja can now sense the girl's feelings with strange clarity. "We're going over the mountains to know what it's like over there," a voice that might have been her's echoed in Lilja's mind. "What about you?"

(((The girl was saying what the group was planning to do and why then asked what Lilja was going to do. If you want, you can write that Lilja wants to join them. The girl will sense it and persuade the others to let her join. Or you can have Lilja voice her request and they will let her travel with them.
I'm fine with whatever you decide to do with Lilja but I would prefer that you include her thoughts and feelings more in your responses. It would help me get a better read on her and not get confused again like I just did. I can include the other character's feelings and thoughts in my responses as well if you wish.
