You could probably make a temporary patch with some sticks, but it almost felt unsafe to be in there, from the creaks in the floorboards and the drooping roof.
For now I'll make the temporary patch, I'll definitely be sleeping outside but for now I was determined to fix up this house. I'll explore around nearby in search of some possible permanent replacements for the moldy wood
There was some nice big sticks you could use, but you would need many more to fix all of it. You were also starting to feel hungry.

I collect the ones I did find and on my way back look for any food or even seeds to plant for later use.

You were not sure what was edible or not, but you did see some red berries on a bush, looking almost exactly like raspberries.

I purse my lips sceptically, and check to see if it has a black spot near the bottom, since most common poisonous berries have a black spot there, fi there isn't one I'll take a small bite out of one, since if it was poisonous that hopefully won't be enough to kill me.

They do not, and it's sweet but also tart.
(( It's a salmon berry, that also means there is water nearby most likely. ))

I happily eat the fresh ones and collect a couple more to plant back at my house as a future in investment. Recognizing these as salmonberries I do a quick search of the area for any nearby water sources.

There is a very small stream, probably fed from the nearby mountains.

I check to see how clear it is, and if there are maybe any fish swimming in it.

It's to small for any fish, but it looks very clean and it's very cold.

I'll drink from it, make a small marker so i can find the spot again then head back to the house. Once I get there I plant the berries I'd picked up in the backyard and put the sticks I'd collected with the un-used metal before checking where the sun is at
