Bucky's eyes widened. "Of course! Why didn't I think of that," and he laid down right next to Spider-Man, pulling the jacket over both of them. "I remember this from back in the winter of... thirty-nine, I think, when Steve almost caught his death just walking home. And he was always so cold. An ice cube, practically." Bucky closed his eyes. "Come on, Clint, get on the other side. The more heat, the sooner we can maybe break the fever."

"You knew Cap back then?" Clint asked putting his back to the kid's. It was strange to think about that far. In fact that was about the time his grandmother was born.

"Knew him then? Yeah I did, I knew him before then too. All the way since...uhhh...nineteen twenty-seven, I believe we met at school. So far back I can barely remember. Also that was one of the things they tried to make me forget the most." Bucky closed his eyes. The memories of forgetting washed over the real memories. The pain, that, that machine, those soulless monsters that did this to him, they should have just let him die. He opened his eyes and saw the red of Spiderman's suit and Clint just over it. He pushed away the painful thoughts and concentrated on the present.

"That must have been awful." The man answered simply before shifting so his arms were under his head. "So how did this all happen? With the whole death thing? Who were you even fighting?"

"Well first it was an army of weird alien things, and then Thanos showed up. He's bigger than the Hulk, crazier than HYDRA, and I don't know what happened to him. Whatever happened, I wasn't there, I was finishing off a few of those alien things. But all of a sudden, I couldn't feel my feet and then I just collapsed into dust. Literally, I saw my arms crumble." He set his jaw. If Thanos had killed them, then they were going to get back and find the Thanos here and kill him.

"That's what happened to me, I was just working and then bam I was here...I just hope my kids are alright..." What if they were alone? Afraid? What would happen to them?

"Ten to one they're here too. Seems like more than just us three would've come here. Besides, if what I heard is correct, then Thanos intended to wipe out half the universe. Probably means all of Earth is here somewhere." Bucky reached over and felt Peter's sweating forehead. "He's roasting. Hawkeye, you got anything to heat him up more? That little spark of a fire we had is going out."
