"Who's there!?" Astraeus demanded, striding over to where she'd seen the tail, although her footsteps were soundless. Perhaps, she would surprise whatever was there.

Here in the center you see a fountain you can remember was the town square, and the Japanese maple that was growing in its center had grown to 5 times its original size, the fountain cracked and broken.
She walked up to the maple, resting her hand gently on its bark. She had spent many days here, just resting in its shade.
She continued on exploring, wondering what had happened to cause this.

Astraeus glanced at the curtain and grabbed it, jerking it to the side.

Everything looked aged and tattered but the nature around had preserved manly of the structures

(I will add a pic later)
A large cat like creature was cowering in the smallest cubby hole, he seemed to be about the size of a Fox if not a little bigger. He was mainly orange with a cream underbelly and black markings on his muzzle, feet, and surrounding his crystal blue eyes

Astraeus watched the cat, her eyes narrowed. "Why are you here?"

It couldnt answer but its tail flicked kindly as it looked up at you
