(I don't want to include anything from the backstory section because I'm scared I'll mess up but here is mine)

Her eyes were wide with horror, as she stared on at the abnormal creature, feasting upon a carcass. The pale moonlight lit the land just enough for the blood, coating her muzzle, to glimmer. Stumbling backwards, she fell against a tree and found herself unable to move. All she could do was stare and watch.
The sky was dark above them, a deep blue that tainted the once bright, beautiful sky and causing it to descend into the shadows. Jutting from the darkness was a feeble moon, with barely enough light to show, as if any second it would disappear and become another shade of darkness amongst the night sky. Few stars showed this night, the gods not wishing to shed anymore light upon her desperate situation.
As her back pressed against the hard bark, branches seemed to tangle as they reached towards her. Desperate for the warmth of her body that they had not felt for many years, evident by their brittle deathly appearance. She found it hard to swallow in this time, her mouth as dry as a desert. Her rapid, shaky breathing made it hard to stay quiet but her hand clasped her mouth in a final attempt.
In a sudden moment, wind rushed past her, sending the branches flying towards her. They scraped against her body, encasing her in cage of branches for a mere moment, before swinging back to their original position.
The creature's nose seemed to twitch, it's head lifting slowly from the carcass. Wind blowing it's dark fur and sending droplets of blood to the ground. Her eyes closed as it began to turn, she prayed for a miracle, for the creature to just leave but it didn't. It turned, a pair of glowing red eyes stared through her soul. Feasting on her darkest memories, her fears and regrets, it brought them all back. In that single moment when you know death is upon you, the only thing you know is regret and pain and this... Was the embodiment of death.
Leaping towards her at immense speed, she was knocked to the floor. Her hair flying through the air before landing and mixing with the dirt. Her hand's clammy as she reached up, in a last attempt to keep her life. A low growl stopped her and she pulled them back and stared up at the creature. It's teeth bared, a large amount of drool dropped onto her face but she was focused simply on the large, needle like teeth that protruded from it's gum. The teeth were crooked and blood covered, beneath the blood, plaque encased them, a grotesque mouth suitable for a grotesque creature. It's eyes seemed to twinkle in delight as it noticed her fear and it let out a noise, almost like a laugh then it's teeth pierced her neck and ripped it out. Blood sprayed into the air, settling in the ground and as she attempted breathe, pain grasped at her. It filled everything, taking over her entire body, she had always wondered what death felt like but she never expected to experience it. Her final breath was drawn and her eyes clouded over, the life draining and leaving them empty, almost cloudy.
Morphing back to her humanoid form, Caedus let out a cackle of glee. Her ratlike tails swaying as she walked away from the body. Wiping her furry hand against her mouth, she spat the chunk flesh out. "Humans always have tasted absolutely disgusting!" She growled in annoyance, before turning back into an animal and scurrying away.

(Sorry if it's not good T~T)

The shadows flickered with unseen light, and the air whispered and stirred the fine layer of dust that coated the floor. Something was there, in the dark, watching, waiting. It wanted blood. It wanted to kill, attack. Hear the screams of its victims that died slowly in its ears.

And Caedes sensed some coming. She could smell it, taste it in the chilled air. She wanted it to come faster. She wanted it now.

There. The echoing footsteps. The heavy breathing that she could hear. Her three red, slitted eyes blinked slowly, catching she shadow in them, making them glint a glint that could make even the blind shudder. Caedes readied her muscles. The tensed and rippled with each movement, and her tails waved back and forth silently, impatient.

And then it appeared in a shaft of moonlight. A bear. A big, brown bear, with a human trailing it. Caedes grinned, showing her nightmarish teeth that killed, tore, and dripped with foul saliva. This prey was hers.

And then Caedes disappeared. Gone, silent.

Foolish creatures. The voice of Caedes filled the cavern. You have wandered into a place you cannot escape. You have walked the path to Deaths door, to be devoured by its jaws.

The bear crouched like it was about to spring. The man shivered with fear. Caedes laughed. You are finished, foolish creatures.

She growled a growl that could strike dark fear into even the deaf. Then Caedes appeared out of the dark, blocking the exit from the cavern. She lunged at the bear first, fast and lethal, and sank her jagged claws into its thick skull, and the bear roared, and not with anger, but with agonizing fear. One of her tails coiled itself around the bears back legs and it staggered, whimpering now, the pain spreading from its anguished cry to everything around it, and the fear and pain radiated from Caedes and the bear, tangled together with the bear writhing and Caedes grinning with her striped tongue slithering out from between her lips, flicking back and forth. She whispered the words of Death into the bears ear, and her right tail curled tighter around the bear.

Caedes howled and her teeth flashed in the shadows. She struck fast and sure, and the bears head dropped, severed from its body. Caedes released the remains of the animal and ran her tails lovingly through the blood that pooled thickly on the oleaginous floor.

She turned to the human, who was frozen with pure black terror on his face. Caedes moved like liquid lightning. She wrapped her tails around the humans body that was ridden with tremors. Her ears twitched when he began squeaking fearful words to her, pleading, but with clear trepidation. Caedess laugh rolled out of her throat again, and the mans blood drained from his face. His voice was numb, and he couldnt speak, Caedes put her massive head level with his.

And the life went from the human as if Caedes had already run him through with her claws.

Humans, Caedes drawled with annoyance. Weaklings they are, dying from fear alone.

She threw the corpse to the ground and the bones inside of it shattered into trillions of pieces. She swallowed her preys hearts and hung their skin on the walls of her cavern and added their shattered skulls to her disparaged throne. Someday she would burn the high seats of the others, swallow their own hearts and put their skulls on pedestals beside her throne and look over the world as the miniscule rock that it was, and no one would look at her as if she were only a small nuisance.

You are Caedes. You are known for your wicked grin, your gleaming eyes. You were born from the bones of Soldiers, the blood of innocents, and the power of a dying star. You sit on a throne crafted from ribs, spines, skulls, and the screams of those dying from your fangs.

It is dusk. You prowl along a ravine, your tails flicking. The water near you is rushing, smashing against the edges of the mountain. The tempting scent of deer musk filled your nostrils. You take it in, closing your eyes. You let out a soft growl, opening your eyes. A sacrifice.

Swiftly, but silently, you trot along the narrow edge, following the scent. Something unfurls in your chest, a urge for the excitement of a hunt. You let it fill your veins, relishing in the emotions felt by your ancestors long ago. They were incredibly weak. You, Caedes, are strong.

The scent grows stronger, and you smell different things. There are ten bucks, all with large antlers. Many females, and a few fawns. You grin as you smell blood from one of the bucks. He is injured. You break out into a run, claws unsheathing. With a large roar, you leap onto the side of the cliff, climbing up within seconds. The deer let out noises of panic, running away from you.

Of course, you chase. You are right behind them, sounding off howls and screeches, driving the herd into a frenzy to escape. You constantly track the injured buck, trying to drive him off from the herd. He is beginning to tire, but not you. Finally, he breaks away from the herd. You dart after him, snarling.

The buck stumbled, and you lunged. Your teeth grabbed onto the buck's back, and you pulled him towards you. He cries out, struggling. Pain is shining in his eyes as he tries to wriggle free. His wails are loud, desperate. He wishes for help from his herd, for someone to save him. You falter slightly. You know that noise.

It is the war between you and the Ancients. They have the Sword of the Stars. It is plunged deep into your heart. You are bleeding, scarlet gushing from your chest. You are wailing in desperation. You are not supposed to die. You are supposed to rule over the Ancients. Your cries are filled with fury, and fear. You are supposed to live. You are Caedes, and you need to live.

Suddenly, the buck is gone. He ripped away from you while you were remembering. He is already a pale speck on the horizon. He will go rejoin his herd, and they will be overjoyed that he escaped you. It is no use to chase him again. The moon is starting to rise, and the stars are shining weakly.

Quietly, you head home, towards your castle. As you slowly walk home, you think of the escaped meat. He could've been a excellent, juicy meal, if you hadn't been reminded of those times. Slowly, you grin, teeth peeking out from your lips as you decide something.

You decide human is better than deer.

I hope you enjoyed it! I wanted to portray Caedes as a powerful, terrifying creature, but I also wanted her 'soft side' to show, though I suppose it isn't.

Good luck to everyone else!

The creatures yellow and purple forked tongue flicked up and down in the air. Her three red eyes slit in disgust at the mess before her. A female childs body, no more than ten, was decapitated and gutted, showing her pink and fleshy organs.

She had to get past the child, but the smell. Even though she was used to eating children and adults, she never ate one of the female variant.

But this one child, something nagged at her, telling her that something non-human did this. The smell was wrapping the small bits of sanity she had left and submerged them in darkness. She pushed the girl out of the way with one of her claws, and recoiled from the sound.

Her twin spiked rat tails were pointed up. Her black and white tendrils waved in the wind. The curling horns gleamed dangerously while her grey and cracked ones lay atop her head. Her black fur glistened in the moons reflection.

If someone saw her, they would say she was the devil. She would have said otherwise. Not like anyone would have said anything though. They were too scared to even look her in the eyes. Many of their kind were eaten by her, only the ladies were spared. If there was one thing she could mildly tolerate, it would be females, the members of her same sex.

Even though she called them Mortals she meant no separation. As many would say, 'Old habits die hard'. And she would hold tight to her habits, even if it did kill her in the end.
