Pepper glared at him "are you expecting someone?" She asked her anger starting to subside and her curiosity starting to show "is that why you were asking instead of killing us?" Even though she was beginning to calm down she could tell the Native American wasn't and she kept her firm grip on him. Pepper got an idea and turned towards the new horse " Excuse me gal but you're this mans horse are you not?" She asked

Wind cocked her head to one side. 'Yes I am, but why do you want to know?' Ratonhnhake:ton struggled to free himself, but was not able to. The stones around his neck glowed a bit as he grew angry. "Unlike you white men, we ask before killing everyone we see."

Pepper ignored the Native American "Eirene!" She said in supprise "She talked to us a few minutes ago!" She said and got up and walked over to the new horse "What's your name gal you've been meighty helpful so far which is more than I can say about him." She said. Jerking her head in the Native Americans direction.

'Wind.' The horse said. "And he's Ratonhnhake:ton." She said sniffing her master. Ratonhnhake:ton stood dusting himself off though July still had him at gun point.

She trembled. She slumped down tiredly. She was starving and weary. It was all so confusing. Midnight cuddled up next to her.

Pepper saw the other girl fall and knew that both human and horse needed food and water. "Wind, sorry to ask gal but, do you know where there's any food or water close by?" Pepper pointed to Midnight and the girl."We found them a little while ago and there both starving and dehydrated."

"That's alright gal. Thanks anyway." She said then turned to Ratonhnhake:ton "Will YA PLEASE SHUT UP!" She yelled beginning to feel her uncontrolable anger rising.
