May I ask why the 30-day minimum? I'd like to join the auction too but I'm less than 30-days on this site :)

Good question, Jenny.

Like any other online game site, Sylestia has some folks who join, try out the game, and eventually decide it's not for them. These folks leave the site, abandoning their accounts. That's perfectly okay, as far as I'm concerned.

However, in the past I've helped brand-new players to acquire really great pets at prices they can afford (and at a loss to myself) only to see that pet get "locked up" in the player's abandoned account. If the pet belongs to a scarce Theme, this is also a loss to the breeding community.

IMO, a person who keeps playing Sylestia for thirty days is probably not going to abandon their account. It's unusual for a person to play for thirty days and then decide to quit the game.

However, my thirty-day rule works like this. If your account will become thirty days old at any point during the auction--even if it's on the auction's last day--then you are qualified to bid.
