Question can they be animals in reality but can change in to humans instead for humans able to change to animals? And can they be unicorns from the last unicorn? Or dragons?

Roleplaying Ex. Cipher (example sorry if it's long but it is one of my favorites! Yasa hangs upside down in the tall tree he had just climbed. The world seemed so different from this view. As all his blood ran to his head making him light headed he practiced reciting the poem he had learned from Kat. He felt so alone up here in the trees waiting for Kat to come back from town. He watched the birds fly over head, intill his thoughts started to slug by. He was growing sleepy not having a good nights sleep in a long time. His mom and dad had both fought for so many nights that even for a young man like himself it was hard to cope with. He slips front he brantch to the hard ground below, landing with a thump. He had to stop doing that, one day he would fall and never get up. What is he was on the wall when he did that? What if he decides to climb the wall and fell bever to be seen again? He sits up, shaken by the fall. He had a cut on his face from one of the brantches but nothing more. He wipes the blood off with the back of his hand. He could not wait to be free, yet for some reason he was afraid of what the outside world held.~from The fallen bridge)

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Really love the idea but my character feels too...normal. Compared to everyone else. So I was wondering if I could replace my character with a different one. I also noticed that no one else has posted in a while so I was wondering wether this thread is dead or not :) if it is but you still want to rp I would be more than happy to join your characters.
