"I didn't mean it like that..." Keegan called after Ilandere before slumping in his chair. Good one Keegs, he scolded at himself. You're just great at making friends aren't ya? He rubbed his uncovered eye with the heel of his hand, already dreading school.

Ilandere was walking kind of quickly.. well ,really quickly. You're really something you know that! You're an absolute dolt that's what you are! You messed up with maybe the only one who'd try to be a friend... Oh great now you're going to cry? She reached up to wipe her eyes and she bumped head long into someone. It was A'ine "Whoa. Were's the tsunami?" A'ine looks at Ilandere and notices her tears, "I don't know you, but what's wrong?" Illandere took a deep breath and explained what happed, "...And that's when I bumped into you. I'm really sorry about that by the way." A'ine stood there silently for a while tapping her thumb to her bottom lip finally she spoke, "Oh that's okay, look I don't think you realize what you just walked away from, a good friend. While you over here blaming yourself I bet he's back in his seat blaming himself. I know he's not very good at chasing after upset people but he's probably as new to this whole 'make friends game' as you. Plus if you went back you guys might be even better friends then if you hadn't or if he hadn't shut down." Ilandere nodded silently they started talking with A'ine until she got clam. Ilandere headed over to where Keegan was still siting and A'ine gave her the thumbs up. Am I good or what? (<A'ine)

Ilandere went up right behind Keegan and started getting cold feet turned around and saw A'ine give me the thumbs up. I walked over to Keegan and tapped his shoulder, he turned towards me, "Keegan I'm really sorry I upset you then ran off, which probably made you more upset, could you forgive me?" She was full of hope he'd say yes.

Jubal offered both of the girls a smile after lifting them up and then looked at Phinesa with a bit of disbelief and amusement before looking down at himself and then back at her. "I don't think that's quite fair, I'm not exactly built for speed." He laughed softly, flushing a bit as he tugged self consciously at his shirt which covered his somewhat sizable middle.

Kenda cocked her head slightly as she let her large eyes swivel back to the girl next to her. She sighed softly as she scratched at the chair with her rather sharp nail, leaving some visible lines. "I prefer to be alone, or to be outside, where it's natural. Being cramped inside with so much noise and more people than I've ever seen before is...Daunting." She looked absently at the wavy lines of water she'd subconsciously drawn on the chair before grimacing again, scratching over it a bit viciously. "I'd really rather not be here. But...I can't go anywhere else." She sighed softly as she once again pulled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs and shutting her eyes halfway as she rested her cheek against her knees, casting her largely absent gaze down at the floor.

"Come on you're kidding, right?" Said Phinesa she added "I don't know a satyr, or a faun that was built for speed. Some are just speedier then others." She smiled at him, "Okay fine to make it fair I'll let you have a 10 second head start." She got ready smiling mischievously and started counting "1.....2.....3...."

Jubal let out a real, full laugh this time as his smile turned more genuine as he looked at her. 'This girl...' "Okay, okay. Fine. But you're not allowed to be too pleased when you beat me squarely." He took a moment to orient himself and then took off just about as fast as he could towards the hall by the time she had finished saying "2." 'God I'm going to be tired by the time I get there.' Were his thoughts as he pumped his legs, breathing out through his mouth.

Keegan looked up to see Ilandere standing over him. He braced for the verbal attack about how insensitive he was but it didn't come. He was shocked that someone was apologising to him! Usually it was the other way around. "You weren't to know Ilandere, it's okay. You have nothing to apologise for really. And you didn't upset me, I just don't get questions like that very often. It kind of had me stumped." He stopped and chewed on his lip, a nervous habit of his. "And I'm sorry too if I overreacted. Are we all good now?" He asked giving her an uncharacteristically shy smile.

"You and me both. But hey, at least we can both be safe in the knowledge that at least one other person doesn't want to be here." Haizea gave a small laugh, hoping that would reassure Kenda, but it seemed to make things worse. She seemed sad, although Haizea didn't really know how to comfort her. She wasn't used to girls, particularly not sad ones. Haizea exhaled heavily, blowing a loose strand of hair out of her eyes. "I think I know where you are coming from. I'm used to being in the sky all the time. But uh, if you ever need help with anything, let me know" Haizea said, hoping to maybe make an ally who could help with her brother.

Phinesa couldn't believe it, Jubal was actually going to race her! She turned around to Saquia who just raised her hands chest high and said "If you get caught I didn't see anything." With that Phinesa started after Jubal. She quickly caught up to him but hung back for a little bit longer to make sure he gets to feel manly enough, then she ran up next to him, tapped his shoulder and ran past him. She turned around and ran backwards for a bit yelling back to Jubal, "Jubal, If you can tag me before this corner I'll make you some wild berry muffins and I make good muffins." She turned back around and kept running.

Kenda gave a soft, noncommittal hum at Haizea's first statement, trying to find a way to turn the background chatter around her into ambient noise. Like all the wildlife had been, before. She felt a lump in her throat at that thought and without almost any delay he claws tore through the thin fabric of her dress gathered around her shins. She abruptly turned her head and regarded the girl beside her much like a fish in the water before she made it her meal. Her nails scraped slightly over her slightly scaly legs, not harming her. "It's the job of those people over there," here she inclined her head to the knot of teachers near the front of the room, "to be kind and helpful to students. But why would you, a stranger, want to help me?" Her brow lowered slightly as she continued to regard her. "I haven't been nice to you, and you didn't tell me your name. What do you want?" Kenda felt her ear fins flare slightly beneath her hair as she fought down the little hard lump in her throat, trying to move past it.

"Yes I think we are good." She sat down in the seat she had vacated a few moments ago, turned back to look at A'ine who was now sitting next to a tall boy with white hair Must be her twin she told me about She turned to Keegan, "Do you like flying when you're in your monster form? Speaking of you didn't tell me what kind of monster you are just that you're in the Bird class. So, If it's not rude, What kind of monster are you?" She asked again happy she had a friend.

He was remarkably unsurprised when she caught up to him, he could tell she wasn't even tired yet but he was already breathing a bit heavily. He let out a short laugh as ran backwards in front of him, eying the distance to the corner before calling back out to her. "If you let me catch you I'll make you some muffins too, and I make great muffins." He breathed in deeply before picking up his pace to the absolute max and launched himself forward slightly in a jump, his fingers brushing through her hair for a moment before he nearly over balanced, barely catching himself as he kept running. 'So tired when I get there.'
