You stalk off, and exit the village. Wandering around the border, you hear the sounds of birds in their nests. One particular call catches your attention. It's high pitched and unnatural.

While the girl walks off, you keep looking, until something catches your attention. It's almost like the lady... flickered out of existence for a moment. When you ask what that was, Raael responds.
Raael: It's an illusion on the body. She's not what she looks like. But I can't see what's under the spell. She must be extremely talented to keep up such a spell.

Raael: Illusion spells that change appearances depend on the person's state of mind, and can only be done on yourself. As long as a person stays in a state of focus, they can maintain the illusion. It's so hard to perform because most of the time a caster has to be able to split their attention in two. One for the spell, and one to focus on everything else. You'd have to break through her mental barriers to disrupt her focus.

I head away from it, not letting my curiosity get the better of me.

The sound of flapping reaches your ears, and a shadow passes overhead. Something lands on a branch before you, and you realize that it's nothing more than a little sparrow, calling for food.

ask how it is possible to break mental barriers then ask in a little amusement if it is like annoying her till she just gets frustrated and breaks

Raael: It's always possible to break barriers, but for some it can be quite hard. For those with weaker barriers, causing frustration and negative emotions can work. But most of the time for stronger people, you have to engage one part of the mind while another works at chipping away at barriers without them noticing.
