She sighs and closes her eyes, resting. Shes been captured before and itll happen again. Shes just rather it not happen.

then a scientist walked in.

She ignores the person.

he watched her, curious.

She just lays there quietly. Shes much bigger than the two strix theyd captured before; shes nearly 14 feet tall, unlike the two whod been only around 5 and a half feet.

then shes suprised as the scientist pressed a button and the cage opened a hidden door. *i know you dont want this. so go back to whereever you came from, and please dont send anyone else here.*

She turns to look at him. Her eyes are a deep blue, like sapphires, with catlike pupils that seem to be staring right into his soul. * And what would I get in return?* She challenges. * You and your peers have already taken two strix. What would be keeping you from taking more?*

he said softly, *im sabotaging them from the inside to make it much harder to capture... whats the term? etherials. the captures will keep happening, but much less and in smaller amounts then what could have been.*

Her eyes narrow and she sniffs dismissively. She then nimbly slips through the opening, landing silently in front of him. In the light, her feathers glint in a mix of red, gold, and pink- as if shes captured the sunrise in her feathers. She towers above him, staring down.
