You lure the phoenix out of the room. You then:

1) Shut the door and lock it, it's made of metal, the phoenix won't be able to get through.
2) Run away
3) Open the chest
4) Leave the Fire Fort
5) Explore the Fire Fort

You open the chest, and there is a map. The phoenix could return any second. You:

1) Take the map and run
2) Stay
3) Leave the map and run
4) Read the map first
5) Explore the ruins

1) KEEP RUNNING
2) Rest a while
3) Read the map
4) Explore your surroundings

You read the map. It is hard to decipher what the writing is, but you can make out the fact that it tells you to go east. What do you do>
