Milling around are strix similar to Daariin- tall, especially fuzzy, more vibrant with more striking patterns.

There's not many authorities. The 'town' of them is only 5 houses, and 1 house seems as if it's abandoned. Virv heads to the closest one, where a mom and her two young children are playing some sort of game.
"Excuse me, ma'am."
The mom looks up from the game and smiles politely at Virv. "Yes?"
"We found something of importance in the human realm."
That gets the lady's attention. And concern. "Well, what is it?"
"There's some sort of lab. They're experimenting on ethers."
