Arai reformed, slightly smacking the wall of energy. He chuckled, feeling it burn. 'So. You'll try to kill me? Even though it'd kill these poor souls?' He spread his hands, souls of his past family members popping into existence, appearing to be contained in small, golden orbs. 'Shame. They were among the most useful. Although, I would be willing to release them to afterlife...for a small toll.'

'Ah,' Arai said. 'So it would seem. But, these are souls, not physical lives.Think of it like a mental bubble of character.' He turned his attention to Nai, smiling. 'Ah, sweet child, you were removing this barrier here and bringing this young lad under control so I could perfect this world. Don't you remember?' he said, grinning, knowing exactly what happened. 'Be a good lass, and hold those little blades to his throat. Or better yet,' he chuckled, 'find his siblings and do the same to them.'

Turning back to Nicote, he said, 'So? How does it sound? Now you know what's at stake.'

Stones fly, beams reaching.
