They stay around for a bit eventually you manage to pick out the alpha male and female

you find a pond nearby

I look for springy branches and use them and some grass to make a fishing rod.
I then dig for worms and look for a sharp rock.

I carefully impale the worm then tie the rock to the pole and start to fish

Eventually one of the fish there bites the worm. The fish here are fairly small
