She stood up and went back upstairs.

Puck was crouched in front of the Unseelie prince, his lips moving soundlessly.

Ethan was in the hallway, peering out between the railings, the blanket still draped over his shoulders, Ares peeking over his head. "Wheres Mommy and Daddy?" he asked. "Did you tell the bad person to go away?"

" Mommy and Daddy are okay, they're just sleeping. But they'll wake up. "

Ethan nodded, gazing at her solemnly. "Youre going away again, arent you?" he asked matter-of-factly, though his lip trembled and he sniffled, trying to hold back tears. "You didnt come back to stay with me."

" Yes, Ethan, I'm going to leave. " she walked towards him and gently hugged him. " I'm sorry. "

"No!" Ethan clung to her, burying his face in her side. "You cant leave again. They wont take you again. I wont let them."

"Princessss." From the darkness, something latched on to her ankle

She gets up and walks over to Ash, literally shoving Puck out of the way. With her claws out.

she lightly pushed Ethan away and turned around, quickly moving back.
