"Choose a weapon to learn to use," Saerien said, before lifting the identical white and black daggers. He looked at Black and White, and said, "I think these two blades are trying to tell me they want to bond to you two."

He released the blades, and they zipped to in front of Black and White, the black blade hovering before Black, the white doing the same before White.

As one, the two blades seemed to speak in voices like the clash of steel, saying, "We are Night and Day, the siblings born of one another. We choose you, Black and White, to be our wielders. Take us as you would a priceless weapon."

"Well, whadaya know, I was right," Saerien said, lifting the bade that looked like lava, "Indo, this is Sunset. She was my grandfather's, so don't lose her."

Sunset suddenly lifted out of Saerien's hand, and said in Indo's mind with a smooth, silky voice, 'I am Sunset, borne of the sun and sky. I choose you, Indo, to wield me. Treat me as your greatest treasure.'

Saerien and Saria paled, realizing they'd just witnessed three fabled blades bonding to new wielders. Saerien lifted his crystal-clear blade, and whispered, "Crystal!" The blade glowed with an internal light, and a beam shot from the tip for a moment, then the glow died.

the Hybrids blinked in shock, and the dinosaurs took their blades and eyes them. however, Indo took Sunset, and gave it back to Saerian. *i no have this. it mean much you. i... no.*

the Dinosaurs looked at Indo in suprise, then nodded in respect.

"Sunset is a sentient being. I did not give her to you. She gave herself to you," Saerien said, refusing the blade, "She's already bonded to you, whether you like it or not. She would burn me if I took her."

Indo frowned. *alright...* he took the blade, and spun it around a few times. *you sure?*

"I am very sure," Saerien said, "Now, as Sunset, Night, and Day have bonded to the three of you, you need to know something." Saerien suddenly flung Crystal, the clear dagger, at Black, and barked, "Halt," and the blade stopped a fraction of an inch from Black's eye. "The blades are attuned to your wishes. All you must do is vocalize your wishes to the blade."

Saerien looked at Crystal, and said, "Return!" The dagger returned to his hand.

the 3s eyes widen, and they look at the blades in wonder. then White dissapears and growls something, and so does his dagger.

Black was throwing his with accuracy, making holes in a boulder.

Indo put the knife down and eyed it, then shoved it away. *it not right. you belong Saerian, not me. i done nothing. I nothing. go back. please.*

'I belong to no one. I know a good soul when I feel one.' Sunset said to Indo, before beginning to glow. The dagger expanded, and took on a decidedly Draconian shape. As the glow faded, a female Draconian with scales the color of lava continued, saying, "And I chose you."

"Grandma?" Saerien said in surprise.

Indo blinked, then closed his eyes. *but why? Why me? I nothing.*

Turning to Saerien, Sunset said, "I am not your grandmother. Your grandfather chose to make an avatar for me of your grandmother. Your grandmother had already died when I became aware. I believe he set my avatar as his mate because he could not bear to lose her."

Turning back to Indo, Sunset continued, saying, "You are more than you know. You were the first of your species. You are the only of your species that can speak English. You are my choice. I choose to be bonded to you. Remember, I am a magical knife. I have the patience of a saint."
