Knuckles shot to his feet and snarled. Shadow had been walking on thin ice, and said ice had just shattered.
Sonic took a few steps back. This wouldn't end well, but it sure would be fun to watch.

(Well, if shadow is as strong as sonic, and fights between Sonic and knux always end in a draw, it's logical to assume that knuckles and shadow are =s as well.)
Knuckles needed no second bidding. He sprang into the attack, swift, agile, powerful.
Gadget looked at the two. "What are they doing?" He said as if they were both idiots.

Knuckles growled, friegning annoyance even though he was really thrilled. His first few shots he missed intentionally, to get a feel for his opponent. It has been a while since I fought this guy, He thought, coming back around for another attack.
Sonic watched foe a safe distance, not knowing who to root for.
Gadget looked at Pearl. "What's going on over there???" He sounded utterly confused.
