Storm
"It was a dark and stormy night... Just kidding, I wish! No, it was a night clear as day, I was just a few years younger than I am now. It wasn't long after our planet was formed. A dragon came from the space beyond the sky to claim all the land as his own." I begin, recalling the scene.
"He was big and black, scales hard as armor and eyes piercing blue. Instead of wings to beat he had what looked like the dorsal fin of a shark on either of his sides. They were actually a lot like you, Lucent, the tops of them were completely illuminated with moonlight." I purr, describing the all mighty opponent of my lifetime.

Storm
"The battle began rough, this is true. I was fighting so the land would be free for all, while this overpowering beast from beyond came just to take it all for himself. I could land my attacks when I lured him into a canyon to prevent flight, but they did nothing. I realized the only way I would be able to hurt him would be by attacking into his mouth." I say, closing my eyes to draw the details back.
"From all my running my heart was racing, and my electric nerve pulses were more active than ever before. I was able to jump on his back when he was escalating for an aerial move and discharge enough static into the clouds to create a lightning storm. In other words, the winds in the canyon collided with my outburst of energy. It was much like a volcanic lightning storm."
(Not my image, but it is real. Google it)
I attempt to send a mind image to Lucent through telepathy.
"When my storm spread across the sky the monster was not able to harness whatever energy he was getting from the space above. He was flightless, and I was going down with him. With my fur basically supercharged from the weather blow up, the lightning targeted me and I was able to channel it into the monster's mouth as he shrieked." I murmur, "I burnt him to a crisp inside, seizing my victory... But I have never been able to reach that state of power again. Probably because I have never been as matched."

Lucent
I'd chuckle. "You were right, it was definitely different from that loner's story." I'd chuckle, nuzzling her neck. "Thank you for telling me, i always would love to hear more about you." I'd say, licking her cheek afterwards.

(You know talking about you makes me smile, But every once in awhile, I want to talk about me, Want to talk about I, Want to talk about number one, Oh my me my, What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see, I like talking about you, you, you, you usually, but occasionally, I want to talk about me xD Oh Toby Keith what a silly person you are)
Storm
I giggle, shaking my head. "The storm just reminded me so I thought it might help pass the time." I yawn, but not tired. A yawn of boredom. "I was too tired after the battle to check, but I have always wanted to see if his skeleton is still there."

I'd chuckle. "I understand, it's pretty boring to lay down in a closed den with each other." I'd sigh, feeling that familiar power off in the distance, but I'd shrug it off again. "I think it's my time to tell a story."

Jasper
It felt good, Jasper had to admit, listening to Tumble's praisibg assessment of him. Opal was still so young, it was hard for her to understand how much he did for her. He stood up, stretching his wings out and up for a moment, the silvery under feathers catching the firelight as he shook the weariness from his muscles.
"Teaching you may be an option," he told Tumble, "But the first thing I have to do is find my sister. Are you feeling any better? You seem to have a better ability to sense her than I do." He'll decide what was to be done with Tumble after Opal was safe and back in the cave.
Opal
The tiny, pale colored cub slept on, comfortably curled up on the floor of Spike's floor. The threat of imminent danger went completely unknown to her.
Lachlan
Mud, mud, mud. The brown mucky stuff was everywhere in the swamp. It was thick and smelly, and caked on just about everything. Lachlan adored the smell. He slipped through the boggy vegetation, his large paws making deep imprints in the earth, which slowly disappeared ad the filled back up with watery mud. Things seemed so peaceful here where there was only him and the assorted smaller creatures who inhabited the big.
Lachlan, however, could sense things stirring in other parts of the island. He was old, and could remember many battles which had been fought. Mostly, he kept out of things, since no one rarely bothered with the swampy region during conflicts. He hoped, fervently, that whatever chaos was happening elsewhere stayed far from his territory.
For now, there was just him and his mud.
(Anyone is welcome to interact with Lachlan if they choose. I know most characters are involved with others at this time.)

Lucent
My face would darken, preparing myself to tell my story. "There was once a young pup, he was alone, afraid, not knowing how or why he was different. One night, he would be cornered by his own kind, baring their fangs at him, calling him name's he didn't recognize." I'd take a deep breath in, then out. "They all thought he was a threat, wanting to destroy their species. The pup didn't recognize that he was the threat they were talking about. Then..everything went dark for the pup, not knowing what was going on, he'd scream for help...over..and over. All he was met with was a Dark version of himself, saying something he couldn't understand." I'd look off into the cave walls. "The pup would then wake up, seeing nobody around, he travelled, and followed a dragon, saying that he held the answers to his questions. A few years later...he was ambushed by his own kind, hundred's of them ready to kill him. But the pup wouldn't allow this and killed them all, leaving no survivors of his species. The dragon was very disappointed, but he kept leading the pup, leading him down the path of sanity." I'd sigh, taking a moment to regain myself. "The dragon couldn't be touched, it was like it was part of the pup's imagination...but one day, he disappeared, being left alone in a lonely world, having no one...until he met a old friend." I'd sigh, finishing my story.

Tumble
"Yes..." I trail off, I do feel quite restored after rest and heat, but I am mesmerized by the fire reflecting off the silvery wings of Jasper. If the golden-red flames weren't pretty enough, those feathers there would have to be just about the most beautiful thing Tumble had ever seen. But after a few moments, she shakes her head, trying to concentrate on the situation at hand.
"I- I mean, yes. I definitely feel ready to go, thanks again for waiting. Now just let me think here..." I spread my own snowy wings and close my eyes, trying to sense the little one. "I do not feel any endangered bac, but there is a large amount of exhaustion..." I say, opening my eyes again and looking at Jasper seriously. "She couldn't have gotten too far on her own if she is as young as you say, is there any creature's territory that she may have wandered into?"
Volatile
I hiss, pleased. The creature is completely unaware of me. I snatch it up into my arms quickly and dash off with it, knowing I should get it back to my den before Spike realized it was missing. Moving as fast as I can, I reach my den in about an hour, tossing the creature to the ground without care.
"Now! This time I will be able to enjoy a meal in peace!" I sigh with frustration, stretching out my talons and preparing to dig in to the fresh meat. "Can't get any fresher than fresh."
(Hoping she will wake up so I can demonstrate his trickster side)
Spike
I gobble up various rocks, scooping them up in my jaws and then tipping my head back so they go tumbling down into the bottomless pit that is my stomach. Aw heck no, what am I saying? If anyone has a great figure it's me. I snort a bit of smoke with amusement as I make my way back to my den. The volcanic heat soaks into my gigantic feet, climbing into my belly and beginning to melt the rock.

Storm
Sensing his sadness, I press close.
"You was strong enough to protect yourself from that many others even as a pup, you truly have great power." I purr, "But the dragon, do you remember them? Maybe you should look for he or her...?" I suggest, touching noses. I can always communicate with you this way, if you go somewhere I can't follow.
