Eventually the bailisk turns back.
Drake's never seen a basilisk before. It's... weird, to say the least. Its lower half is a spider, creepy-looking 8 legs and all. But, instead of an abdomen, it has a snake for a 'tail'. It has a somewhat ratlike upper torso and head, with rocky scales lining its cheekbones and collarbone. It has no eyes on its face; the only eyes are on the snake. The torso half is wearing a long dress, with a second, smaller dress on the snake.
