She glared at him, but proceeded to get a taxi.

It driven by a bearded man chewing a thick cigar. He kept glancing at Lise in the rearview window and smiling, oblivious to the two faeries pressed on either side of her, one glaring, one hanging his head out the window. Grim was on her lap and both windows rolled down, as they tore through the city streets.
