"Yes, well, remember, pets, when you get to the floor where the scepter is being held, you must be prepared for anything. Robin, it will be up to you and the iron thing to protect the princess. Im quite sure they wont have the scepter lying around where anyone can snatch it. There will most likely be guards, wards, nasty things like that."

"She...shes leaving?" Charles looked utterly despondent, wringing his hands and biting his bottom lip. "No no no. Cant leave again. Cant disappear. Stay."

Soon they reach a river. Without a moment of hesitation she leaps into the water, instinctively giving Izz the water-breathing magic.

She looked at Charles. " Is he always like this? " She asked, looking at Leanansidhe.

Izz was just straight up confused, and soon Oberon comes through


"Sorry, darling. Charles." Leanansidhe's voice made the air tremble, and the poor man gave her a terrified look. "What are you doing here? Go back to your room." He looked on the verge of tears.

She swims somewhat deep, and hurries under a small ledge where she can't be easily seen from the surface. For a moment, she looks relieved. Then she glances down and her face falls. There's houses to one side, on the bottom of the river.

"I'm afraid so." Then Leanansidhe clapped her hands, the sharp rap making him jump. "Charles, darling," she said. "Shell be back. Now, why dont you find the other Charles and find something to play tonight? Go on, now. Shoo." She waved her hand, and Charles, with one last look at Lise, stumbled from the room.



Oberon looked around for them

Cammie knows firsthand how territorial sirens are. Even if they don't kill Camm, no matter the siren city they'll most definitely kill Izz. But if she returns to the surface then they'll just get caught again which will put them in an equally unsafe position. There's not much she can do but stay at the ledge and hope neither group spots them.
