Saerien looked up, and saw Saria open her eyes. "Saria?" he whispered.

"Yes, love. I'm here. I guess it isn't time for me to die, yet."

"No, it most certainly isn't."

They embraced, and were soon upright once more.

Coleen smiled. *you ok?*

"I-I think so. I might need to rest, though," Saria replied.

Coleen nodded.

Anonymous said, *rest. ill watch.*

Saria curled up on the floor, and suddenly shrunk into a gold embellishment, which Saerien fit into a matching groove in his breastplate. "So, what now?" Saerien asked, looking at the others.

Coleen eyed the gold thing. *wait. is she still alive?*

"Yes, but she could die if too much heat were applied to her in this state. Normally, we draconians are immune to any form of fire or heat. This is a more vulnerable form. However, blades cannot break us in this state, and, by putting her on my armor like this, that ability is shared with my armor. You could try to stab me, but the blade would just break or get knocked to the side," Saerien said, "This is our equivalent of sleep. I turn into a steel ring. I'm just lucky that Saria becomes something as beautiful as this."

"I've never met anyone besides a Draconian who can do this and come out of it at will," Saerien said, "So, where to now? I guess I'll stick with you guys and gals, seeings as to how Saria seems to trust you."
