Running to the ladder, she climbed up and was about to open the trapdoor when she froze. Her eyes grew wide in fear and she climbed down. She whispered fiercely "The bears are here! Run down the tunnel with a yellow mark hurry!" Lint said, already going that way.

Claudio sprinted that way. But his weight was getting too much for the tunnels now.

Grabbing Claudio's paw, she led him to a dead end. However, after Lint moved a few boulders a hiding space appeared. It was well stocked with a lot of food cans and a trickle of water. Pushing Claudio in and squeezing herself in afterwards. Moving the boulders back into place, she sat down and sighed. The tunnel system was hollow, but here the rocks had moved into the empty space.

"Where are we going?" Claudio asked.

"A hiding spot." Lint replied.

"I don't like this place." Claudio said.

"It's better than those bears" Lint said, shuddering as the sound of a broken trapdoor reached her ears.

Claudio went down onto four paws. "Would anyone be in these tunnels?" Claudio asked.

"Few people remember them, so I doubt it. If anyone came here, they probably ended up somewhere on the other side of the whole system." She dropped onto all fours and started running as bear growls erupted from the den and sounds of things being ripped apart echoed off of the walls.

Claudio stopped dead as there was a rumbling sound right in the roof in front of him.
