(KNEW I FORGOT TO PUT SOMETHING IN THE QUEST POPUP)
*Thank you its called Corenic root Corenic flowers are hard to come by since theyre very shiny. Most animals eat them since they make good food. they have glittery blue leaves and the roots can be used to be medicine, you can find them growing outside of town, but it might be easier to get them from the Blightshade forest since theres larger more hidden there, although the forest is much more dangerous.
The NPC man began coughing and hacking before thanking you again for agreeing to help, thought clearly in his coding he didnt know you could simply abandon a quest

Ezcept phoeniz had one of thos3 "i will not abandon a quest unless absolutely necesary or for a good reaosn" mentalities.
Yeah he was a tryhard alright. Phoenix started making his way to just ourside town- he was definitley not ready for the Brightshade forest and would just have to forage and hope for luck. Maybe get his skills up a little bit while he was at it too.

You exit the safe zone of the town and step out into the wilderness. The fields were absolutely riddled with players, which made sense since everyone was spawning in the same town and was therefore still in the same area. Sticking close to Grandiflora would definitely be the safer options since there were virtually no enemies in sight closer to the city, however that also meant there would definitely be less flowers, whether it be from people doing similar quests or thinking they were pretty and just taking them because they wanted them.

Hed take the chance. Plus he could stock up on a few miscellaneous items while he loiked for the herb he needed. Might as well ue the ttime and get a bit of everything, it mighr come in useful if he needed to trade with someone later on. He started searching, trying to move from the more crowded areas.

Wandering to a less crowded area, you see some small clusters of various plants in the grass. There were some tiny purple flowers, some red plants with large shining leaves, and a small blue flower with some shiny petals.
There was also a hissing sound coming from a nearby plant with glittery blue leaves

Glittery blue leaf plant, spotted. Phoenix grabs his weapon in one hand, not liking the hissing noise, and goes to check the plant. And harvest it.

[Foraging skill Unlocked]
You carefully approach the Corenic plant, using your sword to nudge a leaf, revealing a thick snake resting beneath the leaves. It doesnt lash out at you, but its definitely staring right at you. The name above it reads
Adolescent Indabyo Python, the snake was an of-white pink color with a blue pattern the same color as the Corenic plant, just less glittery

Yay, a python. A goos 95% chance it was poisonous and he was about to die! Fun!
Phoenix carefully attpts to get what he neds (and a little extra just in case) and be on his way without a snake bite.

Based on what the old man said, you would need the root of the plant for his medicine, so it would be difficult to get it without disturbing the snake, especially because it was already aware of your presence. It would be an easy kill based on its health bar, but it could also be just as easy to try to scare it away. Of course, there was always the third option of using your sword to dig up a little bit of root without disturbing the python.
The quest only called for one root, so you carefully did your best to pull up some of the blue roots of the plant and cut away some Corenic root. The snake moved a few times, but ultimately didnt attack as you harvested the plant.
Obtained 1x Corenic root.
Of course, you could always try to harvest the rest of the plant and risk getting bitten, maybe sell some parts to other players or shopkeepers, thought it might also be nice to leave this plant for other players facing similar quests

He decides to leave it for now, hes not taking a risk this early. He quickly goes on his way back to the old mn, grinning a bit at the thought that a certain friend of his wpuld yell at him for not wrangling a snake.
