I put a finger to my lips without a sound. I grab my hockey stick and shove it into Xander's hands, and I creep over to the closet and I pull out a baseball bat. I position myself at the ready at the door.

Even though my head was pounding from its nice greeting with the floor, I curl up my legs, and then kick at the thing with all my might. It's some sort of humanoid shape, but shorter, and... lumpier?
"What the hell is that?" I ask, staring at the unconscious shape. "It looks like some kinda... goblin," I say tentatively approaching it.
