"I'll have my people believe nothing that isn't true and real. You are implying that I will allow us to display ourselves and our relationship differently to the public than we would to each other. I will have no tolerance for deceit. I do apologize for the sternness, but that is a subject in which I am not afraid to assert my opinion."

He seemed colder, almost disappointed in her words. They were the sort of thing he didn't want to hear. He understood how to read people like books. She may be a bit harder, but it was clear to tell that her comment showed her immediate lack of faith and interest in him, at least from what he could tell.

"It was not disrespectful, and I fully agree. I never said you had to love me. I just want my people to see you and I for who we are. To often royals like us wear masks. We will be an exception for better or worse. Funny though, many say I am the same way. Quiet for a time, but blunt when I have a point to make."

He continued to walk on to her room, not to far from it. He decided to finish the night on a high note.

"Oh, by the way, it is not just a ride I have scheduled, it is a full outing. We both will be exploring the nearby town of Yali. The people have requested to host a festival in honor of your kingdom and your arrival. I was supposed to stay quiet about it, but you may wish to dress appropriately for a festival."

Xolia gave him a nod. She had never been to a festival, So she wasn't entirely sure on what she should wear. But she figured she should consult the maids on it.

" I look forward to it, your highness. "

"As do I fair Princess." He said as he knelt and kissed the back of her right hand gently. They had arrived at her door just as she had finished speaking.
"Sleep well." He said softly as he turned to go. Maids were just inside her door awaiting her arrival, ready to prepare her for bed immediately as she walked in the doorway.

She turned and walked inside the bedroom, soon ready to head to bed. She hadn't slept for quite some hours.

"How was your evening with the royal family?" Asked the apprentice maid, who was soon swatted by Garland once more.
"Hush now Cartana, she must be tired. It is not our job to inquire, but to serve." said the experience woman.

The two maids went to the large closet and came out with a selection of flowing night gowns for Xolia to chose from.
"Which one suites your fancy majesty?" Asked the oder maid tenderly.

She glanced over at the selection of nightgowns, not even looking at them for a minute. " The blue one will fair just fine. "

"Of course my lady." Garland agreed, handing the others to Cartana who rushed to put them away. The two maids assisted in undressing the princess and having her clothes taken care of. Once thay had her dresses, Garland led her to the closet.

"The prince has requested that you chose your dress this evening in order that there be no delay in the morning. Feel free to any gown you so chose my Lady. If none of these are what you seek, the tailors can prepare a new gown by morning, simply give the command and it is as good as done."

She looked at all the dresses. " ...Which one would best suit a festival? It is quite embarrassing to say, but I have never been to one. "
