Roxanne appeared on Reuvans left as if by magic. Her sharply cut bob only rivaled by her sharper eyes and piercing personality. Indeed she is what one might have called 'Anti-social'. As usual her outfit was immaculate, spotless black vest over camp tee and black jeans with fake pearls studded up the side. The only thing dirty on her was her boots. The sword on her hip looked worn but just cleaned, the sheath was scratched in a few places but shined like it had been coated in leather polish. (Which it probably was.)

She swept by Reuvan, turning on her heel infront of him to give him a once over. "What happened to your leg?"

"Aconitum."

---

Klover casually looked over to one of the clocks hanging over the doorways. "Well technically Breakfast is over so as far as I'm concerned.... this is just a table." Klover finished flatly.

She fished a small pack of towelettes from her pocket, sliding them across the table with a pointed look at the other girls hair.

(Wow nice explanation there, I'm going to sleep after this)

Hayden caught up to them. "Hey. Am I interrupting something?" he said, breathing heavily. He wasn't used to running so far so fast, but, giant ants. Almost as scary as spiders. Not that he would admit that. "You want me to get Aika to see if she can fix that?" he asked, referring to the raven-haired head of the Apollo cabin. Although he wasn't looking forward to running all the way back to camp.

Eira huffed, reluctantly taking a towelette and awkwardly wiping the stickiness from her hair. "Thanks," she mumbled, standing up from the table. "You heading to weapon training after this or what? Chiron's teaching stuff today, not the Ares kids."

[Explanation of what?]

"No." Roxanne piped up from behind him. "And no." Reuvan finished answering the second question. "I'll see them right before the game."

"Did you run here your---" A sharp crack came from the woods, the sound of a rustling bush following quickly after. Roxanne already had her sword ready-- and Reuvan slid an arrow from his quiver, silently popping off the rubber cap. His bow remained shouldered.

------

"Probably not, I love Chiron but-" she gestured vaguely at the forest, "-Our cabin is going to be doing alot of running back a forth. I don't really want to be doing that already exhausted."

"My name is Klover by the way, Klover Falic." She held out her hand to Eira.

Ace appears out of the trees next to them, holding something complicated that glittered where it caught the light. He looked mildly sheepish (mildly), saying without preamble, "It was a social experiment, I needed to test something and ah, well." Thrusting the device in his hands towards Reuvan without actually looking at him, Ace adds, "'ere I thought you might like this, by the way. It kind of. Just happened. And y'know, you like your bows so ah. Yeah."

(ace wasn't the source of the noise btw he just has awful timing)
(I'll explain the appearing out of nowhere later slep knows gtg to work rn sorry it's short ;-; )

"... myself? Yeah," Hayden finished the question, drawing his sword. When he saw Ace, he relaxed, but didn't put his sword away. "Oh, uh, hi Ace. Nice of you to join the party."

Eira nodded and shook the other girl's hand. "Understandable. I'm Eira Finchley, daughter of Tyche, but, well, you already know that. I'm probably going to be training until the game starts, you know, you can't get enough practice."

(I'm blocked right now wahhhh xD)

[okay Giant Ant yeah? I can do that...]

.

Large mandibles ripped up the rustling bush, pulling it completely from the ground-- shaking it like a toy and discarding it just as easily. The ugly face of a giant ant bore down on them hungrily. The reddish skin porous and hairy, and shiny like plastic. Acid dripped from its mandibles, the grass hissing beneath them as it died. The air smelled rancid and burnt.

Reuvan hadn't gotten the chance to take a look at the bow Ace held- instead snatching it up and putting it on his shoulder after shrugging off his previous one, all while hissing at Ace hurriedly about how he'd liked this pair of shorts. He knocked an arrow, training it on the ants large head- currently all he could see.
Roxanne had taken some slippery steps backwards, keeping her distance from the drops of flesh-eating acid.

-----

Klover re-pocketed the towelettes, getting up from the Tyche table and stretching. "Don't mind if I walk ya' there do ya?"

"Well," remarked Hayden flatly as he raised his sword again, "This might be a bit of a problem. Hope it didn't bring friends."
As if on cue, five more visually identical ants emerged from the trees, mandibles clacking angrily, or maybe delighted to find four demigods they might be able to eat for dinner. The grass around here probably wasn't going to be growing back any time soon, Hayden noted.
"Now, that is a slightly bigger problem. "

Eira frowned again, not entirely sure how appealing this prospect, but not wanting to appear rude, she reluctantly nodded. "Sure," she said, and walked towards the training grounds without looking back at the redhead.

"You just 'ad to go and say it, didn't ya, Hay?" Ace says drily, drawing one of his own swords and stepping up a bit. He produces a quiver from... somewhere with the other hand (really, it's best not to ask questions you aren't sure you want answers to) and shoves it into the next nearest person's--Roxanne's hands. Glancing back briefly before unsheathing a second sword, he adds blithely, "Put those somewhere he can reach 'em, sweetheart; they're the fun ones and I think we might jus' need them soon."
