There was a loud howl from somewhere outside the vehicle. Ash recognized it immediately, but he knew that his wolf couldn't come into the van, only keep following.

Beverly quietly thanked the boy before looking at the pile. She walked towards it and grabbed a pocketknife she recognized immediately. She turned it around in her hands, her fingers tracing the carved patterns before she tucked it away in her pockets. She turned to look at the others, brushing a piece of hair behind her ear as she did so. "I'm Beverly but you can call me Bev!"

Bev looked at him and nodded. "I'm on board with that. They would be so confused they wouldn't know what to do!" she said with a small laugh at the end. She looked at the dragon a bit nervously but found herself storing the word dragon away in the daydreaming part of her mind

"Aww, but we can be polite and introduce ourselves to the enemy," he protested, "I mean, don't all say my name, because that would be weird, but hey, that would be confusing and oh my you're a dragon, that is so awesome, can you fly, I can't fly anymore, can we get outta here before we find out where we're being taken," he said, switching into rapid-fire mode.
