"Uh... I'm not sure?" Her eyebrows quirked up slightly, she didn't want to ruin his childhood or anything. "I was just told the basics by my parents, they both came here as children."

"Really? Could I meet the dwarves?!" Now he was bouncing up and down in his seat. It was rather difficult to match his actions with his age since he acted much like a child would though as the sleeve of his bulky blue sweater fell to revile the black and blue spot on his arm he instantly froze before violently pulling the sleeve back down. His eyes drifted down to the floor then and he sat back in his chair wrapping his arms over his chest.

"What happened there?" Of course, Piper had to bring it up. "Is that a bruise?"

At fist he simply shook his head but as the blonde girl turned her attention to him he gave up on hiding it. With a carefully hand he rolled his sleeves up to revile the it's and bruises on his arms. "Dad wasn't happy that I was leaving..." He said tears stinging his eyes. He had never told anyone of the home abuse before until now, but that was on,y because he wouldn't have to go back...right?

Upon seeing the boys harms her heart sank. What kind of parent would hurt their kid like this? She had no words, it wasn't her business to get into after all. She hardly knew this boy yet she felt an overwhelming sense that it was her job to protect him. That was normal no?

Piper's eyes widened and she looked down at her hands. They were pale from shock and she watched them. "I'm sorry," she whispered hoarsely. "I didn't know..."

"I didn't expect you to...no one did." He sniffed as the sleeves feel, one going to wipe his nose. "Dad wouldn't like it if I told. Mom said that if she found out I told she would make it to where I couldn't tell." Tears trickled down his face now yet he made no move to wipe them away. "The school was my last hope to escape, other than running away. If they don't take me in I have no clue what I'm going to do."

She hardly hesitated as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, they won't turn you away..." She said with a kind smile. The boy looked at her a moment before throwing his arms about her in an awkward hug.

Piper felt her own eyes tear up but she tried not to sob. "They'll let you in, I'm sure!" There they were, a group of emotional teens crying on their way to a magic-teaching school. How strange it would have sounded to anyone else.

The hug lasted long enough to make it super awkward. The boy pulled away wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his sweater. He said nothing for a whilebeforelookingout the window. "What does the school look like? Is it pretty? Should we be there by lunch? Anyone have food?"

It was rather funny how he could just push something like that off. It was abuse, from his own parents nonetheless yet he managed to just push it way like they had been talking about a movie or something. As he meantion food again she couldn't help but smile. He was really that hungry? As she thought more on it though reality seemed to slap her. What if his parents hadn't feed him either? From her own side bag she pulled out a package of peanut butter cookies holding one out to the both of them. "I can fix the food proble." She smiled warmly. The boys eyes widened as he saw the cookies taking them with gentle hands before opening them slowly. By the way he ate it was clear to see he had been starved recently. Each bite he took was quick, as if by not hurrying something would take the meal. "Easy...there's no reason to eat that fast, it's not going anywhere."

Xavier walked onto the plane and sat down, not bothering to talk to anyone. He decided hed rather not talk to someone then end up lashing out at them because of something they said. That had been his motive for not talking for most of his life.
(Im just now noticing how similar Xaviers name is to one of Shaynis characters, oops!)
