I sit high in the branches thinking about what I didn't tell her, how one of my sisters, who looked just like me but much smaller, the runt of the litter in fact, survived but lost her wings. I had cared for her with all I had in me, her name was Shadow. She loved to fish, but one day she fell in and drowned, and I couldn't save her. As I think silent tears fall down my face and onto the branch.

The branch becomes slippery and I fall, crashing through the branches before falling to the ground with a heavy thud. I lay there, gasping for breath.

I struggle to my paws, gasping in pain as I hear a snap in my right wing. I glance over at it and see it hanging to a weird angle. With effort I manage to lift it. Panicking now I lea into the air and struggle to fly tilting crazily and spinning before crashing back to the ground. My right wing, obviously broken, hurts even more now but I try to fly again and again with the same results. Still I don't give up, continuing to leap to the air again and again.

Hey the more you attempt to fly with a dislocated wing the more it will hurt. I can help it you know, when I was stuck with the humans I say a few things to relocate it. It will hurt though *looks at fang curious if he wants my help*

Ignoring her I continue to try to fly, this time climbing the tree and leaping off of various branches, but I only manage to crash and hurt myself more, still I persist.

My right wing hurts terribly and the bones in it are shattered by this point so it will be a long time before heal, even if she helps me. Still I refuse to believe my injury. I push her away and pull myself back to my paws. Unable to even lift my broken wing at this point, it drags on the ground as I head back towards the tree determined to fly.
