Nazca Lines- in Nazca, Peru, anyhoo they're giant etchings in the ground that can only be seen properly in the air, made around 500 BCE-500CE still only theories on how they were made with out flying. aliens totally did not do it

This contest is for historical eras or civilisations, so could you please say which ones your designs are based on? It seems like your designs are based on nature rather than civilisations (and I don't want to ruin the surprise but there may be a nature-themed contest in future). At the moment I'm not sure your designs qualify for the current contest.

Sorry if my explanation wasn't very clear. Places are of course fine - if you can link them to a historical era! Some of your designs could possibly be linked if there are any myths or legends about them? Basically I envisioned this contest about the history of humanity, so anything man-made. There *may* be a future contest about nature, so anything not man-made. It's up to you whether you'd like to edit, redesign, or save your submissions for a future contest :)

Again, I'm really sorry my explanation wasn't clear enough!

Last time we travelled through human history through eras, civilisations and ancient splendors. This time I would like to see the wonders of the natural world. Your favourite holiday destination, butterfly species, flower, tree, mountain range - you name it! As long as it was made by Mother Earth, you may take inspiration from anything in nature.

Please make sure to say what inspired you... and bonus points if you can teach me something new!
