Thank you for the compliment. Hanel is actually based off the angel Hanael, also known as Haniel, whose name means "Joy of God" or "Grace of God." Because there were two different common spellings, I just split the difference by dropping the first vowel and keeping the 'e' :)
The idea is that God gave me my passion for stories and mathematics!
