Nothing special happens on my new year but it is quite nice, at least for me. First we all sit down in the living room eating popcorn and watch old cheesy movies to remember past years and to have a good laugh. Then for dinner we have some sort of soup because none of us like the cold. Next we eat the rest of the candy canes and chocolate and play card or board games such as Uno and checkers. Lastly we take all decorations off the Christmas tree but leave the tree for the morning. We all head off to bed because we can't stay up 'til midnight. Its not spectacular but it is a very fun way to end off the year.

New year's at my house is pretty much a normal day until about 8:00-ish. At around that time my family and I play assorted games and eat snacks until the new year starts. The games are usually ones recieved as Christmas presents, so it's fun to learn the rules while playing the game. That's pretty much all we do. Not very exciting, I know, but that's what I do for New Year's.
