The guy asked a lot of questions, but I knew how he felt, so I answered as best I could. "I can't change like you can. At least, I don't think. I think I'm part fox. So I can't escape. I don't know who did this, but I think they're called scientists." There's that word again, I thought, What does it mean? "I don't know what the word means. I just kinda knew it, and knew that it fit. So, you can turn into a smaller animal and go through the bars. Is there any way you could get me out?"

Sophie heard two people talking in Nikki's cage "Hey what's going on?" I yell to them stepping into the shadows in case anyone was going to come into my cage. (Sorry it short and I tired...)

"do you have a bobby pin?" i smirk and stand. i reach in my pockets, but find them all empty. i reach up. my hair was still pulled back in a small ponytail, maybe one of my own bobby pins made it in here. i feel around, finally i find what i was looking for. i slowly walk up to the bars and begin to work on the lock. "so you know about as much as i do. I dont think i caught your name." breaking in always was a way to calm ones self, and that was what i needed right about now.

The guy picked the lock on my cage. "Thanks for letting me out. My name's Nikki, but I guess you can call me Nik. What's your name?" I heard Sophie ask who was here. "A guy escaped from his cage, and he's letting me out! Oh, he could get you out too!" I was glad there were people here. Maybe there were more people!

Soph held her breath. "Are you sure he can?" She started out of the shadows that hid her but hung back not wanting to have anyone see her and freak out.

"Well, he just got me out," I said stepping out of the cage, "So he can probably do the same for you!" But then, I realized I heard a different tone in her voice. Scared, embarrassed. How did I know that? How could I sense that? "What's wrong Sophie?" I asked.

Sophie just stood there not wanting to tell her she'd probably find out soon enough anyway. "Nothing. You said you were part fox? You probably look sort of neat..." She said not sure if it was a complement at that point.

"Yea, I don't know. It depends whether you think looking like a fox is neat. I do think it's pretty cool to look like part-human, part-animal. Oh, you never told me what animal you were. What are you?"

"Well there are worst thing then a fox." Sophie said quietly looking down at her black and white fur. "And I'm one of the worst ones." She said still not wanting to tell her. Sophie knew what people thought of skunks, she actually met one first hand. Not enjoyable.

i go to the next cage. " can you change like me?" i begin to pick her lock. " i dont know how but i can somehow change completely into a coati. Half of humanity does not have a clue what that even is!" i joke. "why coulndn't i have had something normal like a deer, or a raccoon! heck i would even have wished to be a skunk! their fur is so soft..."
