"Haha sorry, that was really my fault. I just got so excited when they said there was going to be food!" Tadi exclaimed, rubbing the back of his neck which was throbbing slightly from his crash. He grinned lopsidedly, feeling bad for not watching where he was going. "Anyway, I'm Tadi, nice to meet you!" he said, sticking out his arm for a handshake.

Eniko gasped softly when she heard the girl, Lily, was a white stag. She remembered being told that White Stags were distantly related to Golden Hinds somehow. She realised she had probably introduce herself too. "We'll be in the same class then... I'm Eniko and I'm a Golden Hind." Eniko gave a small smile to Lily. "There are so many people here," she marvelled, both to herself and to the girl next to her.

"Oh, it's okay- wait what? Free food?" Asher said. He kinda liked the idea of free food. He hadn't eaten this morning. Asher looked at the boy's hand. He held his hand out and gave him a firm handshake. "Nice to meet you too, Tadi. I'm Asher." he introduced himself. "Which class are you in?"

Lily smiled. "Awesome! Oh cool, you're a Golden Hind!" Lily said happily. She was glad she'd met someone who was "somewhat" related to her. She looked around. "Yeah... Many people... I kept bumping into them this morning." she giggled. "Aren't they loud?"

"Humanoid probably. I can't do any of that crazy transforming stuff," Tadi replied cheerily, still not quite accustomed to all of the magical... things that everyone at this school can do. "And what about you?" Tadi asked, walking down the hall backwards so he could still talk to Asher as he got closer to the mess. "You look too human to be humanoid..." he pondered, grinning.

"Certainly louder than anywhere else I've been. My family is so quiet and we hardly ever speak loudly and plus there are so few of us... " Eniko trailed of, realising she was rambling about her family. They were the only thing she really knew though, and she had hardly anything else which she could talk about. "Sorry, you probably don't want to hear this." She shut her mouth and continued watching the vast crowd.

Haizea hadn't spotted anyone in the mess hall that even looked vaguely like her yet. Relieved, she got up from her seat, thinking that maybe her father had got it wrong when she was told that she had a twin. Everyone else had basically paired up with someone already. There were so many loud and equally annoying people around. Haizea scanned the room for someone quiet who might be able to help her if her brother did come in. She noticed a girl sitting huddled up in the corner of the room (Kenda). "Do you think they'll ever be quiet?" Haizea asked the girl as she lazily sat down next to her.

"Oh cool. Yeah, I can do all that "crazy transforming stuff"." Asher said laughing. "I'm in Animal Class. I can transform into a Sea Lion." He the chuckled. "Do I? Pfft, yeah I think I do too." Asher seemed to like this guy. He seemed to be rather cheery and fun. "So, what do you do? You know, for fun?" he asked the smiley guy.

"Yeah, the forest was so peaceful... Not until the humans... came." Lily's voice softened. Lily's smile slowly disappeared. "It's okay, I'm easy to talk to. You can tell me if you want. But if you're not comfortable with it, it's fine." she said. She didn't want Eniko to feel uncomfortable.

"I wouldn't know. Do you have any siblings?" Ilandere asked even though she thought it might not be proper edict. "I would just love to have a brother or a sister. Hey I might actually have one and not even know it that's neat!"

Bella decided to stop wandering in the halls. She was starting to get bored. The mess hall was filled with students. "Great... Look at everyone." she thought to herself, a little scared. She had to sit down someplace. But where? She had no friends at all, and knew no one for a fact.
She sighed and walked around, hoping no one would ask her to sit with them. She wouldn't want to, but she'd probably say yes. She didn't like hurting anyone's feelings.
She found an empty table in the corner of the place. She decided to sit there, and maybe no one would notice her...
She sat down and took off her bag. She rummaged through it and grabbed her sketchbook and a pencil. She felt like drawing, nothing in particular though. She had a bunch of sketches of different flowers, so maybe another to the collection.
She started sketching.She didn't know when the teachers would start. She then heard the teachers announcing some stuff, but she didn't listen.
From the corner of her eye, she saw someone nearby her, staring. She pretended she didn't notice, but it started to bother her. She looked up, and saw him.
"What?" she thought to herself. "Him again? Maybe he is a stalker!" She breathed in and tried to clam down. He was just there, standing, staring. The worst thing he could do was walk over. Then he did.
"Great." she thought again. "Just what I needed."

Corwin walked inside the mess hall, feeling a little alone. He knew no one and no one would talk to him. He looked around, wondering if anyone would want him to sit with them. He wasn't good at making friends, but it might be worth a shot.
He studied the place carefully. Everyone was talking. Even the teachers were talking to each other.
He stopped. In the corner, he saw the girl in pink. She was sitting alone, in the corner, in a small table. She didn't look lonely. She was busy doing something... Drawing.
She didn't look up until a few minutes. She looked at him with a worried look and quickly went back to drawing.
"That's strange." he thought.
He stood there, staring at her. She didn't look up again.
"Corwin, you can do this. Just introduce yourself. She's probably thinking you're creepy just always staring at her like that..."
He finally walked over. She didn't notice him standing in front of her, not until he spoke.
"Um... Hey. Is anyone sitting here?" he said, pointing to the empty seat next to her.

Kenda tensed slightly as she heard a vaguely muffled question very close to her. She eased her her hands away from her ears and raised her head to look at the girl sitting next to her. She grimaced slightly before giving a slight shrug of her shoulders. "I don't know. I've never been around this many people before. I wish they would be, it hurts my ears." She seemed to mull over what to say for a moment before looking back at the girl. "I'm Kenda." She made no move to attempt to shake the other girl's hand, or ask for her name, instead turning her head slightly to examine the room again.

The girls excepted the offered hands and Jubal pulled them up, Phinesa accidentally noticed how strong he must be to lift them both up at the same time, "Sorry again Saquia. Thanks Jubal, Hey I'll race you!" Saquia shook her head as her sister got read to race and win. She thought to herself She puts that human saying about getting right back on a horse to shame

*psst desiree, I think we're supposed to wait in the mess hall before going to classes*

"Fun?" Tadi said exasperatedly. "It's a school. What fun is there to have aside from messing around with people?" Tadi stopped walking backwards and looked Asher square in the eyes. "Unless... you have any ideas?" He knew that he really should be looking for his sister now, or going to the big speech, but the idea of having something to do was irresistible to Tadi. He'd spent the past week at this school in his boarding room doing absolutely nothing and was ready for some amusement.

"No, it's not you," Eniko rushed to say, hoping she hadn't drove a possible friend away. "I just go on and on about my family when I start talking about them. They're really all that I have." She sighed, fiddling with the ribbon in her hair. "But it's not all that interesting. I don't want to bore anyone." Eniko looked at Lily and softly asked "so... can we be friends? I've never had a friend before..."

Keegan once agains stopped, feeling the girl was really pushing the boundaries now. He didn't think that she was purposely doing it, she just probably didn't realise. He still felt a stab of pain from her question though. "Ummm... that's probably getting a bit too personal," Keegan said, trying to sound casual and to keep the edge out of his voice. He quickly changed the topic. "What do you think they're gonna tell us about?"

Haizea stared at the girl who had pretty much brushed her off. This was not at all how she was used to being treated. "I can see you're very social, Kenda," she stated in a matter of fact tone. Haizea turned back to face the rest of the crowd, opting to follow Kenda's lead anyway and look at the rest of the students. She was anxious to get started at school and didn't like waiting.

"I don't have the slightest....clue. Oh my gosh! Keegan I'm so sorry! I forgot you told me about your family I'm such a dolt!" Ilandere quickly stood up. "I'm sorry I have to go." She turns to leave.
