Locke lowered his head. "Laddie. Don't make me come up there." He growled.

"Come on Locke I can't take another day of being tied up." Selkie was only a few dozen feet in the air.

('Only', he says.)

"If ye co-operate, ye won't have ta be! Problem is ye don't!" Locke said, exasperated.

(Exactly.)
"I learned my lesson long ago about what happens when you co-operate with Skipper!" Selkie yelled back.

"Wha's tha worst tha' could happen?"

"I was made cabinboy when I should be captain. The only reason I didn't fight Skipper is because he saved Kaladin's life. On top of that I take all the abuse that Skipper and the others in the crew can throw on me." Selkie's voice betrayed his hurt and sorrow.

Locke's ears pinned back. "Do ye want ta?" He asked. "Carry other's burdens, Ah mean?"

"I have carried the burdens of my family's past and future on my shoulders for my entire life as have my predessors. I just want my family back." Selkie half whinned half whimpered.

Locke nodded very slowly. "Ah can't bring folks back ta life, an' Ah can't replace em, but iffin it's family ye want... Well, tha's wha' a crew's fer."
