"Well, better that than be arrested and lose the dog anyways" I say, back to eating the rest of my steak. I carefully hide the pouch in a hidden pocket to examine in private later.

The metal sign was a lot different from Wood. Instead of being green, it was a dark silver.

Metal is a dark element. No known Zodiac's have it, but it is rumoured a Celestial Guardian does.
Metal is a particularly strong element which is helpful for companions. They can sense metals close by and have a 6th sense on which metals are dangerous to touch. At a higher level, they can bend metals to their will and create barricades. It is more of a defensive than attack skill. Their Noble Phantasm is Iodine heart; their body turns to impenetrable metal scales and they can turn their blade/ weapon into the strongest and most deadly of metals.

(Your metal skill will become useful for what I've got planned. Unluckily, it is not the element that could be effecting the tree.)

I ticked in annoyance. If the wood sign was green- I had not originally picked this up- then it wasn't the sign infecting the tree. Metal sounded closer. But it was brown wasn't it? I ticked again. Wait, this was a Libary right?

I yawned and thought. Im sure I could spend a Night sleeping in the woods. Probably in a tree. Because hey, I might aswell be squirrel if im going to be treated as one. Besides. I don't want to spend more Gold then I have to.

I popped a couple berries in my mouth and drank a little more of my coffee. Oi! I choked a little. I forgot to get the Wood Man something nice! Hmmm.. I thought about it a little. What would he like......

Well. He has a horse. And he sells wood. I guess I'll get him something made of wood. Maybe something he could use for his horse. Or....

An Idea struck me. I could get him a Horse Pendent made of wood! I don't know why this sounded like such a great Idea, but I was okay with it. After another moment I realized I probably couldn't just find a item like this. I'd either have to make it or put in a request to some shop.

I cringed at the idea of making it. It's not that I didn't like it. I just wasn't crafty. And I suspected that a fee to make it would be out of this world expensive.
