His two swords were casting an ominous gleem around them as his icy blue eyes slided over to the woman cowering in a corner. He wasn't planing on using them unless absolute necessity but he wasn't about to put them half way back when there could still be danger for his familly.

The young girl saw the swords, stared, nearly screamed, then quickly blurted out, "It's true it's ture! I overheard Mr. Franklin talking with Lady Barbara about eloping!" before burying her hands in her face again. "Please don't kill me!"

Nicote looked like he couldn't decide whether to punish her or comfort her. On one hand his secretary eloping was an annoying distraction, on the other he had a bit of attachment to the young slave.

He tilt his head slightly on his side not realy understanding why the girl had sayed that. " So what?" He wasn't realy planing on it but by habit and due to his lack of practice in those kind of situation he had responded in automatism in an icy tone.

Nicote gave the young mna a look. "Not everyone in this world grows up immune to insults." he said quietly, fixing his gaze on him.

" Bold of you to say sutch things, Nicote." He had no intention to insult her, he was in fact a bit curious on why the girl had decided to use somthing like that in this situation. Leaving his place hear his sister he went closer to Nanita. " So tell me, you have heard evrything didn't you. Then, in this case... what do you think of it?"

"W-what? M-me?" She glanced over at Nicote, who nodded for her to answer. "I-i do not know w-what t-to make o-of it....'tis a v-very i-interesting i-idea b-but I-i d-do not k-know i-i-if 't-twill w-work a-as-as i-in-intedened..."

Remembering Emrys's words, he tryed to look less scary by smiling without too mutch success, only managing to bring an ominous grin to his features. " I see well... since you know this you are also going to have to keep quiet about it."

She looked up, saw his "ominos" grin, and squeeled (loudly) "don'thurtmedontkillmeimnotgonnatalkpleasedonthurtme---"

Nicote rolled his eyes at the young man. "You're scaring her with that grin."

Lidia turned away, letting her brother take over, trusting his judgment, she sheathed her scythe. Lidia murmured a few apologies to the other guests that might have been frightened by her feral outburst. Then she turned to the other princes, Emrys. "I'm sorry you had to see me like this, I didtrust Nicote more than the other dutchesses, he's closer to the king and unpredictable.", She apologized, secretly praying for her forgiveness.

Nicote pretended not to bear this remark. Honostly he wasn't very surprised, seeing as he'd gone from being a mere stranger to being the kings righthand man in just a few years.
