Warren's face went from red to white, and back to red, embarrassed by Tara's question. "Weeeellll...," he said, trailing off.

"Yes, I am," Warren finally said, shifting back to a wolfdog before setting his head on the table, so embarrassed he wanted to go hide.

Tara looked at Fala, shocked that anyone Fala's age didn't know what love was. Warren leaned forward, and whispered into Tara's ear that Tala had kept Fala ignorant of that fact.
(I'm trying to think of a way to say it that doesn't sound like, "When Mommies and Daddies love eachother very much...")
