I approach him my head held high and my lips drawn back in a snarl. Showing I would not hurt him if he would join me peacefully, but I could harm him badly if he attacked.

You approach confidently, head high and snarling. The other wolf growls softly back at you.

I narrow my eyes and snap at his muzzle, leaving a shallow, but bloody mark.

The other wolf dodges your bite and lands one on your side.

I snarl at him ignoring the pain. I go for another hard bite, and if he dodges that I will tackle him swiftly.

You snarl again, and jump in to bite its side in retaliation. It jumps back, but you manage to catch its leg.

I throw it to the ground and pin it there. I go for its neck. I decide against having it in my pack and go to kill it.

Straight into the forest.

You pin the other wolf, and attempt to bite its neck. but it squirms out of your grasp, and jumps up to bite you instead. Before you can react, it has bitten your leg; through to the bone.

You walk straight to the forest. After a a few hours, you can smell a wolf, but its an extremely stale scent, maybe a few days old. Do you want to follow it?
