" You know what the one thing I know for a fact I'm going to want in my future? " She asked him with a small smile.

"Hmm..." He pretended to think about it. "Your parents?"

" nooo~ ... well, yes but, I want you. " She said as she cuddled him lovingly.

"Aww, that's so sweet," he said, pretending like he didn't already know that. "Good thing I'll be sticking around for a while, huh?" He asked, holding her tightly

" I am very glad for that.. Especially because I can't stand having to be away from you as it is. I feel safer with you beside me. " She said happily.

"The same goes for me. You have no idea how hurt I was when I had to...you know...stop all contact with you." Well, that was one way to put it

Raven tensed at that being mentioned and she cuddled him a bit more.. she didn't like remembered that stuff, at all. It was a very bad time.

A very bad time. He noticed that she tensed and held her closer. He bit his lip, regretting ever bringing it up. "I'm sorry," he whispered. He wasn't just apologizing for bringing it up, either.

Raven smiled a bit when she was held closer and she felt so much calmer and content by his side... even if remembered that hurt her badly. " It's okay Ash, I know you didn't mean any of what you did.. I just.. I don't want to remember it.. " It only hurt more because she lost their child..

But that was the thing. He had meant to distance himself from her just so she didn't get hurt. In the end, all of his efforts were for nothing. They just caused more heartache, and he fully regretted that whole time.
