The princes and king started arguing but not lashing out at one another again. Something about how they could very likely be exiled if they dared touch the scrolls again or even dared bring any other dragons to them. Geeze, the two brothers had risked a lot just to help others find the truth.

Jacob shakes his head. "You, little mister, are a magnet for trouble... I guess I can let you stay with Thistle... but I am going to have to stay to make sure you get into no more trouble. Understood?" Jacob asks the little dragon.
Ryu had a very different reaction than Riley. Riley complained that that was robbing them of their freedom. Ryu just nods and wagged their tail happily. Both little dragons were glad that Thistle was their friend and that wouldn't change.

Thistle was glad to be their friend as well, he liked the little dragon a lot. He soon was purring as joyful colors bubbled and danced over his scales.

The group could stick together, or wander off on their own now. Depended on how it worked for them. The moon was high in the night sky by now outside of the mountain home, it was around midnight. Some to most dragons are asleep, but guards and watchers are awake. They can go to their caves and rest, or they can meet in a field nearby. There is a lot to think about and much to discuss, but they may wait till morning.

Lia didn't feel very comfortable being alone anymore. At all.
