Victoria was giggling by the time Jack arrived back, and he looked at her as if she was crazy. "It usually takes a few weeks for people to crack up in here," he said as he sat down, sliding Vic's tray across the table towards her and Jessie's tray towards them. "Don't tell me that you've lost it already." Victoria looked at the mound of gray mush in front of her and instantly thought about the mess in the elevator. They looked alike, and the smell wasn't to dissimilar either. It felt like her stomach was tying itself in knots, and she pushed the tray towards Jack. "Help yourself." His eyes were twinkling with affectionate humor. "A few more days and this will seem like heavenly macaroni and cheese," he said, pulling the tray towards him. "It's surprising what you can get used to when you're starving."

"Pretty sure whatever this is tastes better then Nicote's brother's cooking..." Lio agreed, taking abite. Then almost gagging it out. "Nope, npoe, nope, Newt is still a better cook."
