"You sure look like you slept well." She said with a smile. Despite her better judgement she wanted nothing more than to stay with him though that was not an option. After all they had to eat!

Theon chuckled and tilted his head in a way that caused his hair to fall messily into his face. "What clued you in?" he said somewhat sarcastically

Ase~
She giggled at him. "Maybe it's the mane ontop of your head." She said ruffling it some before she stood. "So what do you want to eat this morning?"

~Theon~
He brushed his hair out of his face as best as he could and thought for a moment. As he did so he pouted slightly and rubbed his neck. (OOC: I am giving him so many of my mannerisms!)

Would it be too much to ask? What the hell, he felt like being greedy today. "Are you able to make pancakes?"

Ase~
Pan cakes...it had been ages since she had last made such things. "But of course." She smiled reaching under the stove to retrieve a book that was filled with the different ways to make foods. It's name was long lost to her but she knew it was used in cooking. "Eggs, baking powder, baking soda, butter and butter milk? Huh, strange. I've not heard of some of these things. I'll see what I can find."

~Theon~
Theon chuckled shyly, "Well yeah, its been awhile but I used to get to have some pretty fancy stuff. I used to work at a manor house as a kid actually. Mind you the servants didn't exactly live in the same luxury as the masters but, we still had it better than most."

Ase~
"Sounds fancy, this tunnel is about the best I have had." She admitting looking about in a hope to find the ingredients she needed to make the food. "Try growing up in a home that was used was a retirement place for elders people couldn't be bothered with."

Forest pricked her ears when she heard a rustling noise. "Mother!" she yipped as he mother came running out of the thick underbrush. The pale gray female zolnixi's purple eyes were alive with fear. Her pink markings and gray-blue underbelly gave her away in this landscape of white and black. "Hide Forest! Hide!" her mother called as she was running. "No! Mom!" Forest screamed as a hunter popped up in front of her mother and threw a masterful net over her. The female yelped. The hunters carried her away after stabbing her with a knife until she died. Forest stood there, frozen with anger and fear. She would never see her mother again...

Theon frowned, "Who would do that to their own family?"
It seemed ludicrous to him to abandon your elders to be cared for by strangers in their final days, cruel even.
To even be able to reach such an age was supposed to be a blessing to ones family, to allow them to share their wisdom and company for as many precious moments as they could.
"Sounds like a depressing place to be..."

Ase~
"It could be at times though many times it was fun." She said setting out the powder and soda which amazingly she had. Now to find butter and butter milk. "What the heck is buttermilk?" She asked scratching her head.
