He took her hand.

A deafening howl rang out, and the Grim's was breath hot and foul, spraying them with drool. Ash yanked Claire backward just as those jaws snapped inches from their faces, and they fell off the wall together, hitting the ground with a jolt.

She quickly gets up, looking up at the wall. "Remind me to never go to another graveyard with you again." She whispers.

The Grim crouched at the top of the wall, glaring at them, fangs bared and shiny in the moonlight. But, with one last snarl, it turned and dropped out of sight, back to the cemetery it was bound to protect. Ash let out a breath and let his head fall back to the grass. "I will say this," he panted, his eyes closed and his face turned toward the sky. "Being with you is never boring."

She bursts out laughing, doubling over. "I'll say!"

Ash didn't bother trying to get up yet, laughing with her

She eventually catches her breath, straightening up as she stretches. "Gosh, that thing is scary."

"That's only the first one you've seen." He sounded annoyingly cavalier, completely self-assured and comfortable, lying there on his back.

She looks over at him, eyes wide. "Theres more?!"

"There's one in almost every cemetery."

She shivers, shaking her head. "I'm never going to a graveyard again."
