Kai walked a few steps and started chewing on an old book one that had a wave symbol on it.

Kaladin glanced over. "Kai! What did I say about biting on things?? Drop it!"

She nodded and looked back at the foal

Kai dropped it but it still looked like it been put through the worst of it, Sorry bored.

"You can play with it when you get it back to Lady Opal alright," Luner asked.
"Remember avoid the hooves." The stablemaster reminded her, "Or this can happen." He brought over an old metal shield that had quiet a few large and deep dents in it, "That was caused by Valor this little one's big brother."

(And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why parrots make better pets then dogs.)

"You can't chew on things if you're bored!" Kaladin exclaimed, moving the book to a safer location on a shelf. "After all of this chaos, I wouldn't be surprised if I started quilling sometime tomorrow...." He muttered, returning to Kai.

(Not true dogs can save lives and be specially trained I am just making Kai a struggle.)
It was Selkie's father's journal. While Kaladin was moving it fell apart in his hands.

Selkie climbed down the mast and started walking toward the door.

"That is why dog toys exist." Douglas said.

Kaladin sighed. "Of course..." He gave Kai a helpless look. "What am I going to do with you...?"

Locke elbowed Douglas sharply.

"What," Douglas asked Locke.

Selkie opened the door.

"Oh." Douglas knocked Selkie out once he took a step in.

Kai looked back at him and sighed.

"Go chase the seagulls." Douglas opened the door for her.
Kai trotted out it.
