"What do you want this time jerk?!" The blue hedgehog yelled.
"You thieves are too relentless for my liking. So I'm resorting to firepower! Heh!" Knuckles announced, with that overconfident smile.
"For the sixth time, we're not thieves! We don't even know what you think were trying to steal!" The hedgehog exclaimed.
"That's what a thief would want me to think," Knuckles said, setting off the detonator and making a run for it.
*end of flashback*

Rookie scanned the sky. "Ok, good. Gee, everything looks the same out here... Wait! I think my radar found it!"

Pearls scanner picked u two heat signature on top.."I think they are up near the runway"

"You mean that wreck at Launch Base? Psh. Good luck landing there in this thing. No. You're better off landing around the edge of the island. Got it Gadget?" Sonic said as they approached the island.
"Gotchya! Pearl? A little assistance? Just ease up on that lever there, and flick the switches next to it," Gadget asked. "I'm going to start landing sequence," just then he noticed the radar cut out. "Huh?" Then the lights in the cockpit turned off, and the jet rattled slightly. "Uh.... oh."
"Uh oh what?" Sonic asked.
"We may be about to experience a crash landing...!" Gadget was panicking, but Sonic shrugged it off. "Master Emerald causing energy spike. No big deal."
"We're gonna crash!!!" Gadget repeated frantically.
"In that case, steer towards the mountians." Sonic huffed.
"Towards them?!"
"Yes. That's where Launch base is."
"I thought you said not to land there!"
"Well, that was before the plane decided it wants to crash. That's probably the best place to do it."

Pearl dug around for parachutes...thankfully they were still in the cockpit...."Here" she threw one to Gadget...

"I don't need it." Rookie said. "I have a trick up my sleeve,"

Knuckles looked up suddenly. Is that a jet? he watched it for a moment before saying, "Shadow. Get off the runway,"

"Whelp. Later peeps," Sonic said, jumping of like a professional skydiver.

Pearl:"okay" she hopped out of the plane, and opened up the parachute

Shadow ran off the runway "What?" then he heard the jets.."Oh that"

Knuckles burrowed underground, not wanting any part in this. "Tell me when the plane stops skidding..."

Sonic landed on his feet perfectly. "And the hedgehog sticks the landing!"

Rookie made sure his weapon and headset were secure. He close one eye, aimed his grappling hook at one of the towers, and fired! "YeeeehahaHA!!!!!"
