I walk around, not knowing where to go. Mama was right next to me, but then she told me to stay put. She blindfolded me, spun me in circles and made me count to a hundred. I don't know where I am, but I do know that I am lost, and that I probably won't see Mama again. She has hated me ever since my ears and tail came out of me about a month ago. I can even become an ocelot! I am one now, running around, searching for food and people.

I feel the puppy tense, and I put it on the ground, careful not to hurt it. I say,
"Are you okay, puppy? Are you like me?" I turn quickly into my ocelot and back again.
