Axel met Henri's gaze with a steady one of his own. "I'm calm because right now we have to hunker down and focus, alright? Like I said, I don't really think Prof died, but he did tell us to get a move on and not to worry about him."

"Sorry. I jump to conclusions a lot. Hey, did you know in 'The Phantom Tollbooth' there is literally a place called 'Conclusions' and the main character jumps there because of 'jumping to conclusions'?" Azrail chatters, not sure why he was still talking but talking anyways.

Jaw clenched, Henri spun away, their long blonde ponytail whipping across their shoulders. Henri knew they were getting overemotional. They were supposed to be the level-headed one, but then, they always felt emotions so passionately. Rubbing their eyes a bit, they finally turned back to the group. "Alright. We should at least figure out where here is. Maybe find a road or...something. If there is a way home, there are probably people around who can help us find it." It wasn't much help to just suggest things but Henri wanted to hold their own weight at least.

Elliott looked away from the group. She was holding back tears. This was terrifying. They had basically just been left in a whole new world. After she got her emotions back under control, she looked back, her eyes completely dry.

"I agree," said Ethan, still being serious. "We don't have the teacher here to help us as he found his way home, but I still say we should figure out where 'North' is." He looked up at the sky. "I think I can see the 'sun' of this place, but I can't tell if it's going down or up." He looked at the rest of the group. "Just to double check myself, if the sun is going down a certain direction, that's west, correct?" He looked around at everyone. "Also, we might need pointy sticks."

Zethrin had already gotten a hold of a large stick. It was the perfect size for bashing things, but it had no sharp end. She had that feeling in her gut that they were on the brink of an adventure, but at the same time, it was kind of obvious. While there was nothing to attack, she decided upon using her weapon as a walking stick.
"Do we have a general direction we can all agree on heading?"
She'd usually be more appealed to the option of going lone, but in a strange place like this, there was strength in numbers.

Judi had already long since gotten her stick, long since looking around for anyone to get with the program.
"As long as it's forward, I don't really care."
She said nonchalantly.
"Kid's bending himself right out of shape here trying to figure this out and we're just going to end up wolf chow waiting around. ..Um. If there are even wolves here. And not like.. something worse than wolves.. Like bears or something? I don't know.
I just know I don't want to get eaten by a wolfbear, okay?"

"Okay, okay," said Ethan. "Let's go that way." He points with his stick in the direction where the sun currently is. "Let's hope we find a centaur or something not evil." He began to walk in that direction, math textbook still in his hand.

"Why are you still carrying that stupid thing anyways? Not like a math lesson is going to help any of us get home sooner."
Judi just shook her head, following behind him.
